Welcome to Bieszczady in South-Eastern Poland. We call these mountains the wild heart of the country. Fresh air, rapid streams and lush forests home to many rare species of plants and animals – this is the scenery on the borderline of which our company Nowy Styl Group was founded more than a quarter of a century ago. Its founders, brothers Adam and Jerzy Krzanowski were born and raised nearby.
The early days of the Group were modest: the two brothers assembled basic models of café chairs themselves, in garage conditions. But their vision went much further. They wanted to come up with solutions that would provide employees with more comfortable working conditions, protecting their health on the one hand and improving their effectiveness on the other. They balanced their persistent work with family life. This recipe soon made their company one of Europe's largest producers of office furniture. They achieved the success without special hype, just doing their job. When they needed to get some distance, they would use the Bieszczady Mountains as refuge. And so it is still today. Therefore, even though we have factories in several countries in Europe and the company operates globally, the plants located in our homeland, mainly Jasło, are considered the cradle of our identity. It is the seat of our Office Furniture Factory, opened in 2014, one of the most modern facilities of this type on the continent, featuring advanced technology which supports both production and environmental protection by reducing the consumption of energy, water and packaging.
However, a very special place among our plants is occupied by our Wood Processing Plant at Rzepedź. The village is situated directly in the Bieszczady Mountains. This gives us a huge privilege of communing with nature on a daily basis, but also makes us specially responsible for taking care of it. It would be hard to imagine a better lesson of ecology. It has a huge impact on what we do: how we think about our products and how we make them. We are independent in terms of production, processing all raw materials needed for our operations in our own facilities, but it is the wood that best teaches us respect for materials. Which is why we make sure it comes from trusted sources and is FSC-certified.
To us, this is not an obligation but something obvious. Why? Because it is enough to visit the plant in Rzepedź even once, to smell the dozens of types of wood processed there and meet the people who have cared about its quality for generations, to understand that natural wood is a true treasure. Furniture makers’ gold.
We will show you how we use this ‘gold’ at our stand at the Stockholm Furniture Fair on 5-9 February. You are very welcome to visit our stand A16:28.
